Depression Info

A 2007 survey by the American Psychological Association found that one-third of Americans live with extreme stress in their lives and almost half of them think that their stress levels have increased in the past five years. Yet, regrettably, only 28 percent of those same people knew how to manage their stress in very effective ways.

Don’t let daily stress ruin your life, too! Make sure you get 8 to 10 hours of sleep every night. Eat well-balanced meals. Avoid caffeine and nicotine. Use effective stress reduction skills like meditation, slow breathing, visualization, and muscle relaxation. Get a massage. Try acupuncture. Then, if nothing works, seek help from a mental health care professional.
